I’ve finished 72 granny squares using up odds and ends of wool and have just begun crocheting a black border around each one, preparatory to joining them in black. They are brighter than they appear in this stack (not all pictured) but I liked the photo so decided to share it. When I start joining the squares I’ll share a head-on photo of them.

I took the youngest two girls with me over to the church after finishing schoolwork. We took all the smaller potted flowers out and rearranged the large plants. The smaller ones had started to droop from lack of light during the week. I took a few home (only the ones that like shade, given the limitations of my planting border) but the rest will be available for adoption this weekend. I watered the hydrangeas and snapped this picture of one of them.

Before I left I grabbed a couple pictures of blossoms in the front garden bed of the church. It’s primarily rose bushes but there are also a few snapdragons and bluebonnets amongst others.

It’s warmed up and our highs will be in the upper 80’s up to 90 over the next week. I feel like I can’t complain (after all, it’s late April), but I will miss the cooler temperatures!
