We popped over to St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Monastery this afternoon and stayed for Vespers. It being Pascha the nuns sang “Christ is Risen” multiple times over, but the surprise came when they sang it in around seven different languages! The Georgian and Romanian were especially beautiful.

The peacocks were in rare form, sounding for all the world like trapped, yowling cats. Their favorite thing to do seems to be performing jump scares on people wandering by their enclosure.

It was absolutely lovely outside in the breeze while we were waiting for Vespers.

I encourage you to visit when you’re in the area!
